Michaela completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto after obtaining her Bachelors of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology with a certificate in Disability and Physical Activity from Queen’s University. Michaela has experience working as a personal support worker with paediatric clients with disabilities such as autism and cerebral palsy, as a physical activity coach, and as an Inclusion Specialist in a recreation setting. She has worked in a variety of settings with a paediatric population and has completed OT placements at the Hospital for Sick Children, the YMCA Academy, and Paediatric Physiotherapy Associates. Michaela has a passion for enabling children to participate in meaningful activities and overcome barriers to achieve their goals! In her free time, Michaela enjoys spending time outside with family and friends and her dog, Shiloh. She also enjoys playing sports and listening to music (especially Taylor Swift)! Alisha received her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2005. Her interest in working with children was sparked at SickKids hospital, during the final internship of her physical therapy training.

She has been working as a physiotherapist since 2006. She was the paediatric physiotherapist at a community hospital for many years, caring for paediatric inpatients, outpatients and as a member of the multi-disciplinary Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic team.

She has worked within the community through VHA Rehab Solutions and has had the opportunity to provide intervention for children within the home, child care and school setting to address sensory and motor concerns. Jennifer has also worked within the private practice setting. Jennifer enjoys the opportunity to develop new skills and attends courses on a regular basis. She uses a variety of approaches when choosing the appropriate intervention including sensory integration, sensory processing, motor planning and Therapeutic Listening. Lauren Rudko is a registered physiotherapist who has specialized in pelvic health physiotherapy. She treats clients of all ages and genders, with a special interest in paediatric pelvic health. While Lauren is rostered with the Ontario College of Physiotherapists to do internal (vaginal/rectal) work with adults, her work with children does not include any internal evaluations or treatment. Her approach focuses on the whole body, looking at everything ranging from diet to posture and breathing when assessing and treating clients. She brings a wealth of experience in treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions, as well as those with neurological and developmental challenges, in both in-patient and private practice settings. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Toronto Metropolitan University, where he was also a member of the varsity men’s basketball team. His physiotherapy education included valuable clinical experience through multiple 6-week placements in leading paediatric hospitals across Scotland. Driven by his previous work with the autistic community at Jake’s House, Nikola developed a deep passion for paediatric care. Nikola has also worked as a physiotherapy and occupation therapy assistant at Variety Village, providing hydrotherapy and fitness sessions in the gym.
